Phew, the weather almost beat us, but not quite!!! Just packed up ten minutes early to avoid the deluge..........but we had a visit from a young prospective student today, and a couple of pics from last weeks class. This is Hanging Garden, a Bronx Council on the Arts funded grant to beautify the local Morris Park Community Garden in the Bronx, partnering with the Friends of Morris Park Community Garden and Morris Park BID.

Tough decision today in terms of the weather. I have decided to go ahead and hold our crochet paracord workshops to decorate our local community garden, in the hopes that the weather will hold between 11am- 1pm! (Unless when I walk out the door at 10:30am it is raining!!)

BEST Su Casa ever!! I have stumbled upon the most talented, energetic, delightful ladies at RAIN Parkchester older adult center for our Toys for You! program! They are proficient, creative and eager to learn!! Can't wait to start planning our Toy Tea Party for June 29th, including a pick up of the donations for families and children in need by Giving Friends.

SOOOO Excited that my table "Tossed Salad" was chosen for promotion of the new NYBG exhibition featuring 30 Bronx Artists! All the tables are worthy of showcasing the talent that is in the Bronx! The tables are currently being placed around the grounds now, and the exhibition opens in June!

Coming to New York Botanical Garden June 4th - Around the Table featuring Picnic Tables artistically enhanced by Bronx artists including my contribution - Tossed Salad.

Tomorrow, Hanging Garden returns in glorious hot weather!! Bottle water will be available! Outdoors from 11am - 1pm, Morris Park district of the Bronx, 1000 Sacket Ave, Bx 10462
