These projects demonstrate my approach to designing participatory systems for public art in civic and environmental contexts.
Funded by Bronx Council on the Arts, the busy public space of Loreto Playground now has a visually prominent temporary art installation built with the participation of park visitors. Over 100 people via an online survey selected the word ‘Peace’ to be crocheted into the five prominent languages of the Morris Park area.
Art for Habitat
Participatory ecological public artwork developed for a pollinator habitat along the Hutchinson River Greenway. Designed as an evolving system for community contribution, the project integrates environmental awareness with collective making.
Muliner Playground Art
Funded by Bronx Council on the Arts this public artwork developed in partnership with NYC Parks. A site-responsive participation system enabling local residents to contribute to a shared installation within an active civic space.
Power Flowers
Outdoor installation activating public park space through large-scale, collaboratively produced textile forms. The project combines visual impact with accessible participation.
Hanging Garden
Community-based environmental installation developed with a local garden. A suspended participatory system exploring growth, sustainability, and shared stewardship.
