Art For Habitat Returns for #2!

Funded by the Bronx Council on the Arts, the ‘We Are All Connected’ program established a pollinator corridor and habitat along the Hutchinson Greenway in the Bronx. Now in its third year, the ‘Art For Habitat #2’ project will create a second original crocheted outdoor art installation that visually supports and educates the public about the habitat. Join us to crochet milkweed plants, bees, butterflies, ladybugs and more! All skill levels and ages are welcome!

The installation is now up! Featuring the word ‘PROTECT’ – along with 6 medallions featuring local plants and animals it is a spectacular addition to last years’ artwork and is visible from the Hutchinson Parkway 100 feet away. You can visit the Metro Pollinator Habitat located in the northeast corner of 1200 Waters Place, Bronx – where there is a pedestrian gate providing access to the Hutchinson Greenway and the habitat is right there! Visit and you might see Patti Cooper who cares for and tends the habit throughout the year which supports and protects, there’s that word again, local native plants and the insects and animals that rely on places where they can live out their lives, enriching ours in the process.

From June 7 – August 9, 2025, every Saturday from 2pm – 4pm.

At Morris Park Library – 985 Morris Park Ave, Bronx 10462. Ph: 718 931 0636.
