I was delighted to be invited by New York Public Library to hold a series of six workshops in 2019 at four different branch locations in the Bronx and Manhattan. So……
Let’s make Plarn! Plastic yarn made from plastic bags. Local Bronx artist Ruth Marshall will teach you how to crochet using this FREE yarn that we can make from all of those plastic bags we have around the house. There will be a string grocery bag pattern and instruction to be taught. Also basic stitches and shapes are explored that can be adapted to make dish scrubbers, baskets, hats and even shoes! All skill levels welcome. Crochet hooks, (K hook), scissors and plastic bags available, but you are welcome to bring your own!
