Life during a pandemic has been tough. Covid Crochet is a craft crochet program geared towards older adults where we create items of comfort and ease in these stressful times.
Pouches and bags to hold phones and masks. Along with cup of tea coasters, stress balls, cozy slippers, and a pretty decorative crochet mask to fit on top of your covid mask.
*There are other artists running different types of Su Casa classes – dance, story telling, visual arts, you can check them out HERE*
NYPL PROGRAM: CREATIVE CROCHET SHAPES
Through New York Public Library – I will be teaching “Creative Crochet Shapes” online on Google Meets for the Creative Aging workshops. Participants will need to supply their own materials.
Participants will learn how to make basic shapes in crochet such as circles, squares, and triangles. Let’s learn how to make these shapes and adapt them to create designs without relying on patterns. Circles can make hats, slippers, and bags. Squares and triangles can make sweaters, shawls, and also bags. Beginners welcome, intermediate students challenged!
Kingsbridge Library – Tuesdays 10AM.
Throgs Neck Library – Tuesdays 4PM.
Tremont Library – Thursdays 3PM.
